Instructions for MBA-BM Application Form
(Two-Year Fully Residential Master’s Program in Business Management)

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Minimum qualification Bachelor’s degree of at least 3 years (or equivalent) in any discipline, with minimum 55% aggregate marks.
Final year students Final-year degree students may also apply, provided they complete their final examinations and all degree requirements latest by 15 June 2027.
Admission test XAT / CAT / GMAT / XGMT — choose at least one. You may apply through multiple tests.
XGMT date & time 17 January 2027 (Sunday) – 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm
XGMT fee INR 1,650/- (excluding applicable payment gateway charges & taxes)
Application deadline 15 December 2026 (Tuesday)
1. ELIGIBILITY

You are eligible to apply if you meet the following requirement:

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree of minimum three-year duration (or an equivalent qualification) in any discipline from a recognized University, with at least 55% aggregate marks.
  • If you are in the final year of your Bachelor’s degree, you may also apply, provided you complete your final examinations and all other requirements for obtaining the degree by 31 May 2027.
2. ADMISSION TEST OPTIONS

You must apply for and appear in at least one of the following admission tests:

Important — XAT/CAT/GMAT applicants: You must register for the relevant test separately and comply with the respective test authority’s notification, deadlines and requirements. Registration for the chosen test is a prerequisite for applying to MBA-BM through that test.

Important — XGMT applicants: The XGMT examination fee is INR 1,650/-. There is no separate XGMT application form. Once you select XGMT for one or more programs in the XIM University application form, you will be automatically registered for XGMT scheduled for 17 January 2027.

XGMT Test Cities: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Ranchi and Rourkela. Although the candidate can choose up to three cities, they must appear for the examination in the city allotted to them.

3. HOW TO APPLY ONLINE
Step 1:Go to the XIM University application portal. Under the New User section, enter your basic details to generate your unique XU ID / Login ID and password. You will receive these credentials via email.
Step 2:Log in using your XU ID and password. Complete the application form by providing Personal details, Educational qualifications, Work experience (if any), Program(s) you wish to apply for, Preferred test option(s), Statement of Purpose (SoP), and upload your recent photograph and signature. Since the SoP that you submit will be an important document for your subsequent selection process, you must pay adequate attention in writing it.
Step 3:Pay the application fee through the secure payment gateway.
- First program/test option: INR 1,900/-
- Second program/test option: INR 850/-
- Subsequent each additional program/test option(s): INR 400/-
(Use a single application form to apply for multiple programs and/or through multiple tests.)
4. KEEP YOUR PHOTOGRAPH AND SIGNATURE READY
  • Photograph: JPEG format; file size between 50 KB and 100 KB.
  • Signature: JPEG format; width 280–840 px, height 120–360 px, and file size between 3 KB and 40 KB.

Tip: Keep these files ready before you begin the application so that you can complete the form smoothly.

5. APPLICATION CONFIRMATION

After you have successfully completed the application form and paid the application fee, you will receive an email confirming the acceptance of your online application form.

6. SELECTION PROCESS

Candidates will be shortlisted for the subsequent selection process on the basis of their performance in the admission test(s) (XAT, CAT, GMAT or XGMT). Shortlisted candidates may then be called for the following:

  • Group Discussion (GD)
  • Writing Ability Test (WAT)
  • Personal Interview (PI)

If these activities are conducted offline, they may be held at Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur or Patna. Although the candidate can choose up to three cities, they must appear for the interview in the city allotted to them.

Candidates attending an interview session, in the city allocated, will have to bear their own travel and accommodation expenses.

The detailed modalities of the shortlisting and selection process will be communicated to candidates in due course through the University website and/or email.

Final selection will consider performance in XAT/CAT/GMAT/XGMT and the interview, along with past academic records and relevant work experiences.

Admission offers issued to selected and waitlisted candidates are purely provisional in nature.

7. APPLICATION DEADLINE

15 December 2026 is the last date for submitting the MBA-BM application form.

8. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER

Admission offers to selected and waitlisted candidates are purely provisional in nature. If a candidate is subsequently found to be ineligible, the admission may be cancelled at any stage, and the Degree (if awarded) will be revoked.

9. LEGAL JURISDICTION

All disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Civil Courts at Bhubaneswar, Odisha only.
